WHY FEE-ONLY
Fee-only eliminates conflicts of interests that exist with stockbrokers, agents, or advisors who work on a commission basis.    As a fiduciary, clients’ needs come first which means the advice and recommendations you receive are objective.

THE FINANCIAL PLANNING PROCESS

We guide clients through a planning process that integrates investments, taxes, budgets, estate planning and real estate to construct a plan tailored to meet your goals.

Getting Started: Assess where you are today, develop spending plans if appropriate, and address any urgent issues you may have.  A solid foundation is key to reaching financial independence.

Goal Setting:   It’s tough to know you’re there if you don’t know where you’re going.
Who and what is the money for?  What is important to you?  Establish and prioritize goals that answer these and other questions.

Portfolio and Real Estate Analysis:  Analyze existing investment portfolios and real estate. Determine the appropriate asset allocation and create the action plan that will enable you to achieve your goals.

Investment Strategy and Implementation:  Present recommendations for your investments and explain how your investments will be used to fund retirement, college, travel, a new business or any other goals you have established.  Tax-efficient, cost-effective investments are recommended to help you realize higher returns with less risk.

Insurance Review:  Evaluate existing policies and provide you recommendations for coverage suitable to your situation. The best retirement plan can be derailed without appropriate protection from risk.

Estate Planning: Assess wills, trust, health care and other estate documents you have, educate you on what you may need, and then nudge you (nicely) to hurry up and get any missing pieces in place.

Tax Planning and Preparation: Assess your current situation to make sure you aren’t paying more in taxes than necessary.  Tax planning is incorporated throughout the financial planning process and recommendations are unique to each client’s situation.  For those who do not already have a preparer, tax preparation of your individual return is offered.

Business Planning:  Whether it’s an existing business or still on the boards, we work with you to help you make your business all it can be by helping maximize retirement savings, minimize taxes, and develop strategies for growth and profit.
